Help for Pastoral Leaders

  We offer multiple services to help you: 

1. One-on-one or group spiritual formation coaching: Pastoral leaders need safe, vulnerable places to share their hearts. These weekly spiritual formation meetings can be one on one or in a group setting with other pastoral leaders. They are gender-based, confidential, and designed to help pastors and their spouses grow, overcome areas of sin, and move into more maturity for themselves and their ministries. 

2. Retreats: Often times getting away can help change the landscape of issues or provide the rest needed to gain a new perspective. Retreats may be private retreats for the pastoral leader or for a church group of pastoral leaders. Retreat content and length will depend on the issues at hand and can last for a day or extend to week-long retreats. 

3. Discernment/Crisis intervention meetings-Occasionally, pastoral leaders need immediate discernment or help with complex issues or crises. Perhaps, it’s a marriage or financial issue, a sin issue, a conflict within their church, or a situation with their own board. These meetings can range from one-time or multiple conversations to the need for the pastoral leaders to get away in a retreat-type setting to process and receive coaching. 

4. Spiritual formation models to help the leaders grow a mature church-Bringing spiritual formation to an entire church takes skill and experience. Tending Shepherds has developed a model that is time-tested and effective for bringing the church to spiritual maturity. We are available to help a church design, execute and monitor an effective model.
